FAQ

Q: Why is Asli Technologies 3D printing face shields?

A: Although we are a young start-up company, we want to help in any way we can. Just like you we have family, friends, and colleagues working tirelessly to help in the fight against COVID-19. There is currently a short supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout Canada – the face shields that we make will be donated for use by healthcare workers in hospitals.

Q:Why should I donate?

A: Lot of people within the community has told us that they wish they had their own 3D printers to help in the fight against COVID-19. There are other ways that the community can help – by donating, you will be supporting the cause by funding the cost of materials/parts necessary to make the face shields to protect front-line healthcare workers.

Q: How much should I donate?

A: Any little bit helps! We know these are tough times for everyone and as mentioned above, all money donated will be used towards the cost of materials/parts necessary to make the face shields. Asli technologies will not be making a profit from this initiative.

Disclaimer:

Our intention for these face shields is to provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our face shields have not been tested but we wanted to provide an option that is better than having no personal protective equipment (PPE) at all. We do not recommend this for high risk medical procedures and should not be a substitute for proper medical PPE. Please only use for low risk situations. We are not providing any guarantees or warranties on the product function. Users agree to release Asli Technologies, its members and all donors of all liabilities.
